I have a 93 sunbird. The thermostat is located right under the radiator cap. Wait for the car to cool down. remove the radiator cap. you will see an aluminum bar pull the bar out and that is your thermostat. top off the coolant before installing the new thermostat. put the new thermostat in. push on it a little bit to make sure you get a good seal and then replace the radiator cap. That is all there is to it. the thermostat on these cars is really easy to change and i have done it several times.
