I'd get a manual for the car. I was thinking about changing mine last winter because I didn't have much heat on cold mornings. With the heater on, it took a long time, if ever, for the temp guage to get up to normal operating range. My Haynes book says that is an indication of a failed thermostat. NOTE: on my car, (1996 2.2) the thermostat is NOT where you would expect it to be, or where it looks like it should be. There's a note in the book that the thermostat is located in a housing upfront near the radiator. You need to determine where yours is. Also, some thermostats had gaskets, but some had O rings. Again, get the book so you know what you're dealing with.

I suggest picking up a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car and following their procedures.
If the part number is the same and the configuration is the same then sure.
Just one.
