How do you replace trunk struts?
I just replaced the trunk struts on my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have no mechanical experience and i replaced them myself, so its a pretty easy fix. On the top of your trunk there will be a piece held in my two bolts. Just remove these bolts and the piece should come right off. on the side of your trunk should be the other piece. There will be a little spring attached to your ball joint that is easily removed with a flat head screw driver. Once this spring is removed you should be able to pull the par away from the ball joint and wallah. Replace just like you took off.

Remove the rivet and the trunk liner can be pulled away to access the bulb. Push in and turn the bulb to remove. Insert the new bulb the same way. Replace the rivet in the trunk liner.
