The water outlet is the plastic housing on the top of the engine that the radiator hose attaches to.
open bleeder on engine by the upper hose outlet.
Raise the front of the car up and support it safely. From underneath, drain the radiator, then remove the lower hose from the engine outlet. Remove the engine outlet, and the thermostat is inside.

It is the plastic block on the top passenger side of the engine with three hoses on it.
It is within the water outlet which is at the bottom of the top radiator hose. Mark

There was no 1994 Chrysler 300.
on my 94 Concorde with 3.5L it's right where you would expect, under the water outlet. I bought a new water outlet and thermostat. with gasket. It's two bolts and easy to replace. All parts were under $30. On the 2004 3.5 liter engine the thermostat location is found when you are standing at the front of the car, looking at the engine, on the front area of the right side of the engine, down low. It is in a location that is barely visible from the top of the engine. I believe the only way it can be accessed is from underneath the vehicle. I need to change mine and I cannot do it myself anymore due to having become somewhat handicapped with no balance and also recent back surgery. I have two sons who won't do the job for me because of where it is located and even my brother doesn't really want to attempt it. Have fun!
