In a 2002 Ford Escape XLS, the 12V power outlet is not directly connected to the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC). The DLC is primarily used for communication with diagnostic tools to access the vehicle's onboard computer systems. The power outlet operates independently, providing power for accessories, while the DLC focuses on diagnostics and troubleshooting.
There is a small glove box on the driver's side of the dashboard. pull it out CAREFULLY, and you will see the outlet to plug in the diagnostic machine. When you're done, put the glove box back in.
The fuse is located in the fuse box. The fuse box is located in the engine compartment. The location of the fuse is listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
In a 1994 Toyota 4Runner, the OBD-I diagnostic connector is located under the driver's side dashboard, near the fuse box. It may be necessary to remove a cover or panel to access it. The connector is typically a rectangular shape with multiple pins. If you're looking for a power outlet for charging devices, it can be found in the center console or dashboard area.
You can find it in the water outlet (the upper hose connector which joins the hose and the engine).
It should have a 12volt cigarette lighter outlet.
The FUSE is located in underhood power distribution center on left/drivers(US) side

It is under the dash on the driver side.
