You can do it on the car by pumping compressed air in to the cylinder (must be at TDC). The compressed air will keep the valves pushed up while you remove the valve springs. The downside to this that you will have to have a special tool to compress the valve springs to remove the keepers and you can only do 1 cylinder at a time because each piston must be at top dead center.

To replace valve seals, first, remove the valve cover and cylinder head to access the valves. Use a valve spring compressor to carefully remove the valve springs and retainers, which will free the valve seals. Replace the old seals with new ones, ensuring they fit snugly, then reassemble the components in reverse order, making sure to torque everything to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reattach the valve cover and check for leaks before starting the engine.

Yes, you can replace the seals on a leaking proportioning valve, but it requires some mechanical skill and the right tools. First, ensure you have the correct replacement seals for your specific valve model. Carefully disassemble the valve, replace the seals, and reassemble it, making sure to check for any additional wear or damage that might need addressing. If you're unsure or uncomfortable with the process, it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic.
