Turning off the maintenance light on a 2007 civic?

First identify the problem that is causing it and, of course, fix it. After that it might take a little while for it to go off on its own. If it does not, then you should be able to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, and that should reset the CPU.

How long does the average CPU last and when should I expect to have to upgrade?

All CPU's are different, but life usually depends upon how much the manufacturer is pressing the CPU towards the edge of it's performance. In the past they always did that because they really had to.Now they are making processors that are very stable and last a long time.In general your computer will be obselete long before the CPU expires.

what all is it doing i have a 99 mystique and my CPU went out and i had to find a new CPU but what my car did was try to start but it couldn't what i would do is take to a dealership and find out if it is the security system first off then i would go and replace any thing that is wrong with the vehicle such as CPU ignition coil knock senser and try again if it is still doing the same thing take it to the dealership and have them reprogram your vehicle it is not that expesive if you do it yourself and when ford resets your security then it should start wright on up i did have a problem but that is how i fixed my car so you should try to the CPU's in the car could have just burnt up and that is what would stop it from starting because mine would turn over but not start well i hope this will help you in this little matter

How do you fix a CPU?

CPU's are usually directly attached to the motherboard or they are in a slot that is under a fan. If the CPU is broken, it is very hard to fix because they are small and are not made to be user serviceable. The best thing to do if your CPU goes out is to just go to the store and get a new one that is the same. CPU's are generally expensive so make sure that it wouldn't be cheaper to just go out and get a new computer. It also may be a good idea to just bring your computer to a repair shop and have them replace the CPU so you don't mess something else up too.
