Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2001 Mercedes ML320?
Start with the Brake switch as it is the most common cause of your problem. Switch can be found at your local dealer for less then $50 If you are stuck and need to get the car home or to your mechanic you can use a pin sized object to get you going. You will want to start the car normally. STEP ON AND HOLD THE BRAKE while using the pin to push on a small round disc (about the size of the end of a cigarette) on shifter assembly and shift the car into drive. Now the car should drive and act normally. This will get you by until you can get the car properly fixed. Keep in mind if its the brake light switch YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE BRAKE LIGHTS!
