Should be attached to the brake pedal.....
the break light switch is located above your brake pedal, its a block and looks like a push button switch,
Under the dash you will see the switch on a braket behind the brake pedel. Unplug remove and there you go
Should be located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
The stoplight switch is located on the padal bracket. Unplug the connector and loosed the lock nut. Draw the switch up through the bracket and replace the new one in reverse order. You may need to adjust the length of the switch plunger by adjusting the lock nut, so that the light stays off, with the pedal at the rest position.
More than likely, you need to replace the stoplight switch. It is not a diificult change. Look under the dash directly where the brake pedal comes in contact with the dash when it is not depressed. Press the brake and notice the little contact nipple that pops out. That is the stoplight switch. Replace that, and you are good to go!!!
Not very hard. You have remove the panel that is under the dash. It should be a big black panel. The switch is on the brake pedal. Remove the two wires to the switch and unscrew it and replace it and reverse the order and you are done.
