GAs cap is more than likeky the problem, tighten the cap remove the emc fuse to reset the check engine light/ or tighten the cap and then take neg battery cable off for 5 mins to reset light
there iss no reset you have to dis-connect battery for about 30 seconds to reset the computer

There are pages and pages and items that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked for codes with a scan tool. After repair light can be shut off with scan tool.

The dash warning light means check engine. It can indicate a number of issues with your engine that are best checked by a mechanic.
You must take the battery cables off for about 15 mins. Then connect cables again. Light should come on a few seconds when starting then cut off! If it comes back after a few miles or so..you have en emmissions issue.
It means "take me to the dealer". You can take it to Auto Zone instead and they may be able to reset the code and tell you what it means for a lot less.

my check engine light comes on if the gas cap isn't on properly. next time you fill the tank make sure the gas cap clicks at least 3 times and that its on tight. after driving for a while the light should go off.
