# Place the vehicle transmission in drive wither the brakes applied. # Place vehicle climate control in the OFF position and allow the engine to remain at IDLE for at least one minute. # Make sure the outside air temperature reading is at least 50°F. Place the vehicle climate control in the AUTO position, verify A/C clutch engagement, and allow the engine to remain at IDLE for at least one minute. # Place the3 transmission in Park and turn off the ignition.
The 1990 Mitsubishi does have a computer. You can reset the computer by removing the positive cable from the battery. Keep the cable off for 30 seconds and return it to its original position.

I have a 1990 LS400 and I have never heard of a timing reset button. The timing is set by the timing belt and controlled by the computer. Let me know if you find out there is such a thing. vbd
