Kia does not use a fuel reset. If you are having trouble with the fuel pump check the relay. If it is good you could have a bad pump or a bad ground at the fuel pump, a bad ground is a common problem on these vehicles.
The fuel pump on a 2005 Kia Optima is removed by the fuel tank, disconnecting the fuel lines, and pulling the wiring harness. The pump can then be unscrewed from the tank, lifted out, and a new pump put in place.
The Kia Rio was produced from the years 2000 to present in South Korea. The fuel pump in a 2005 Kia Rio is located in the fuel tank in back of the engine. Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.

2005 Kia Spectra does not contain a external fuel filter but rather has a fuel filter in the fuel pump it self. The filter in the pump is said to be a lifetime filter, but can be replaced if desired. The only time to replace the filter is if the pump itself is being replaced or serviced, otherwise its not necessary to replace
