∙ 2007-03-01 15:48:16HOPE THIS HELPS...ON MY ACURA(TOP-FLIGHT-HONDA) THERE IS A MAINT. REMINDER ON THE DASH THAT TURNS AMBER AT MAINT. INTERVALS. YOU STICK YOUR MAIN IGNITION KEY INTO A RESET SLOT NEAR THE LIGHT, AND THIS TURNS THE LIGHT FROM AMBER BACK TO GREEN. I THINK IT WORKS OFF OF THE ODOMETER ....GOOD LUCK! ..BB

If it is the check engine light is different than the Maint req'd light (for oil changes). The MAINT REQD light is simply a timer for oil changes. Here's how you get reset the MAINT REQD light: 1) put the key to the ON position 2) press the mileage reset button on your cluster so it shows total mileage (not trip) 3) put the key to the OFF position 4) press and hold down the mileage reset button, leave it pressed 5) put the key to the ON position 6) wait until the mileage shows 000000 and you can stop pressing the ODO button
The way you reset the low pressure light on a scion tc 05' is: Open the glove department and at the top left of the glove department there is a button and first make sure your car is on and in park with your foot on the brake and once you have done that then hold the button until you see the pressure light go away.
To turn off the maint. req light (it comes on every 3k -5k mi. for oil change interval). After I change my oil I do the following: 1. depress and hold the odometer reset button 2. turn the ignition switch to on, then off 3 times (do not engage the starter), the third time the odometer will countdown "_ _ _ " then "_ _" then "_" then blank. 3. if the check engine light was just an oil change warning then the check engine light will go out.

Honda programs the light to come on at certain mileage intervals. After 5,000 miles, it will blink for 5 seconds upon starting. After 7,500, it stays on until reset. The purpose of the light is to remind you to change your oil. You should perform the reset sequence each time you change your oil. Once reset, it will come on again at the aformentioned intervals.
