How i reset the computer on Honda civic ex 2.000
The check engine light on a 2004 Honda Civic can be reset by unplugging the ECU fuse in the engine bay fuse box. The ECU fuse is located is blue and rated at 15 amps.
Disconnect the battery for 60 seconds, if that does not work remove the ECU fuse and the backup fuse for a minute.
im goin through the same thing with a 92 civic.......may be the ECU, ECU FUSE, BAD GROUND FOR THE ECU....THATS WHAT IM GETTIN FROM ALL SORCES.....
Disconnecting the positive battery terminal, waiting a few minutes and then connecting it back up works just as well to reset the ECU.
To reset the check engine light on a 1994 Honda Civic locate the fuse box in the engine compartment. Find the ECU fuse and pull it off for at least 5 seconds. This will erase all codes on the ECU.
why do u need to reset the ECU?? to do it basically just disconnect your negative terminal from your battery.... unless u can unplug the ECU its self?? Anyone know if that is gonna do anything?
