Well.. same thing happened to me and what you do is take a long paper clip and stick it through the travel reset button hole and and carefully move the gas gaige thingy around.
The first time this happened to me with my Malibu i spent 35 bucks to have it reset it. It then happened a second time and i refused to have pay that again. I was amazed that it only took me like 3 seconds to do it .. and saved 35 dlls.
