you will see a power connector on the side of motor it is cylinder shaped and inside is a pacman shape there is many connection pins but the two in the mouth are the ones you want. Take paper clip and with ignition in on position jump the outer pin to the inner pin and hold for a maximum of four seconds when you release it will reset the light .
Umm, that's too risky!!! All BMW's require a special tool to reset the Oil & Service (Inspection) indicators. The best one out there is the Peake R5 from www.peakeresearch.com. They are a bit pricey, but if your a do-it-your-selfer like me, it's a worthwhile investment!
Some may tell you that it can be done by pressing and holding buttons while turning the key to position 1, but it won't work!
