With keys in the ignition but not turned on, press & hold the trip reset button by the clocks (right hand side), turn key to 3rd position (ie before cranking starter), the mileage display will count down to 0, release trip reset button, turn key back off, wait for 2 seconds or so, turn key back on, hey presto! :)
