Have the problem repaired and they will reset the light. If you DIY then disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. If that does not reset the light you will have to have it reset with an OBD2 scan tool.
A 1992 Regency has an OBD I system. The easiest way to reset a service engine soon light is to disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for a minute or two. You will lose all of your radio presets though. CAUTION: Make sure that the problem is fixed before you reset the light because it will probably come back on.
