On start up (before Windows loads) press F8 and choose the option "Repair your Computer"

1) Hold down the power button until it shuts down.

2) Press and hold the zero key and tap the power button once.

3) When you hear beeping release the zero key.

4) Click Yes to continue system recovery.

5) Click 'Recovery of Factory Default Software', click Next.

6) Click 'Recover to out-of-box state', click Next.

7) Click Next to Start recovery.

By 'reset' I am aware of two situations, either you want to reformat your computer and reinstall the Operating System, or you just need to restart your PC.

To reinstall, you need a Windows/Linux/Mac installation disc as well as a backup of drivers and any software you might want to keep.

First, set the options available in the boot menu to enable booting off a disc.

Then insert the OS disc and boot from it.

Follow the steps in the installation process.
