No sound oh my computer
Reinstall the proper sound drivers.
You probably did not install a driver for your sound card in Vista.
Well I had the same problem. I had a friend with a computer like mine so I got her sound system but if you don't have a friend with the same computer as you, you can simply download one off the internet.
You need to find vista compatible driver for you sound card. Try first the motherboard manufacture website. If it did not work use google.
Any analog microphone that will plug into a functional sound card is compatible with Vista. Most USB microphones, such as those from Belkin or Logitech, are also compatible.
Use ZDoom. Works great! XP and Vista.
Just copy and then paste the cavedog folder from another computer with an earlier version of windows that had core contingency and preferably the 3.1 patch installed onto it... to c: drive on the computer that has vista or windows 7. I still had a glitch here and there with the sound and video during gameplay if that happens hit F2 choose options visuals and then restore defaults and that will reset it and you can continue gameplay till the next glitch. It's not perfect but at least you can play it... Enjoy...Ray
Restore the system, you can use XP's System Restore itself with, the premise is to create a restore point or restore using GHOST, GHOST recommended on the hard disk version of the sound card from the "Device Manager" and uninstall the sound card then you can install the correct driver .
I'm pretty doubtful. I tried playing it on my 32bit Vista on my laptop, but the game doesn't start. When I click the "Play EE" icon the computer does nothing. Not a single flash or sound. Option 1 is to use system restore to restore your computer to an earlier time before the update. Option 2 is to find out the manufacturer and model of your motherboard (as the sound card sounds like an integrated one from your question) and visit the website for the drivers.
Get XP
From the Internet? If so then you can download Audacity (Search for it) and the you can record using Line in this will record whatever sound the computer is playing, however this function does not work on vista.
its so simple all you do is go to online sound card and graphics card in windows vista.
