Ohms law states that in a series circuit voltages change at every device, while amperage remains constant . Whatever current is applied to a series loop, or leg of circuitry must pass through every point of that loop. However Ohms also says that voltages are constant while currents change in PARALLEL loops. If for example 240 volts are offered the chance to push current through two loops, one with say a 10 thousand ohm resistance, and the other loop with a one ohm resistance, most of the current will select the single ohm, for its ease of travel, but each connected complete loop will have the same 240 volts applied and a small current will flow through the ten thousand ohm resistance.( A shunt is an additional resistance applied, in a series or by adding an extra loop to separate current values. so research shunts). By the way,I before E except after C, remember?

Q: How do you restrict amperage delivery without restricting voltage - I want a device to recieve only half an amp at 240V - Maybe a variable device like a rheostat or potentiometer?

How do fuses protect wires from overheating?

The fuses restrict the amperage (electrical current/flow) of the circuit. The fuse is size according to wire size and load requirements. NEVER put in an over-sized fuse as it will allow to much amperage for the circuit which will cause overheating of the circuit and possible fire.

How do you produce less carbon dioxide?

By restricting the burning of wood and coal we can reduce the production of carbon dioxide. To minimize the production of carbon dioxide we should also restrict direct oxidation of carbon.

Is it against the law for a county jail to restrict the type of mail an inmate can receive like not allowing them to receive personal letters or pictures?

I'm not sure if it is an acual law, but in some counties/state jails they do restrict some photos depending the content of the photo. as far as restricting personal mail i haven't seen that or heard of it

Can a white mother and a mixed father have a white baby?

Yes it is possible. The caucasian mother will have two genes that restrict melanin production in the skin and the mixed father will have one gene that restricts melanin production. Since the baby will get one copy of the gene from each parent, the mother will obviously pass on the gene that restricts melanin production. The father will either pass on the restricting gene or the non-restricting gene. If the father also passes on a copy of the restricting gene then the baby will be caucasian. If the father does not pass on the restricting gene, the baby will have a darker skin color.

Do diabetes diets completely restrict any types of foods?

While most diabetes diets do not completely restrict any foods, most do advise restricting sugars in any form, many fruits that are high in sugar and many starchy foods. It is also advised that you try to completely restrict fried or processed foods as best as you can. They are bad for your entire body, not just your diabetes. http://type2diabetesdiettips.com/what-are-the-dietary-restrictions-for-type-2-diabetes/

How could you call anonymously from blackberry?

Set your caller id to private. You have the choice under options and call settings to send out your number or to restrict it. If you are restricting your calls for illegal purposes I should warn you they can still track your number if need be.

Why do condos restrict BTU use?

Your association manager or board member can answer this question for you, because it is specific to your association. There may be a limit on the amount of energy available to the association, in which case, restricting BTUs per unit is one of meeting out the resource equitably.

What is the cause and how would you correct a blown fuse?

The purpose of a fuse is to restrict amperage traveling through an electrical circuit to a specified value. It does this by inserting itself into the circuit and running the current through a metal strip inside the fuse. When the circuit is carrying to much amperage the metal strip will heat and then melt away, breaking the circuit and protecting anything that would be damaged due to the overload. In order to correct it, you must locate the fuse, remove it, and replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating.
