This morning I would have given you the exact same answer. Its only rational, or so I thought.
I took my cube today, from a perfectly solved state, scrambled it up, and tried solving it. I ended up with just one edge piece backwards. I dont know how. It makes no sense and I cannot imagine a way to fix it. I stumbled across this Answers.com question/answer when I was researching this "error".
