There is a lot of application today that can rip music. Some are free and some are not. Try searching in the net.

Don't you have iTunes? You can buy songs from there. But if you want to do it the easy way, go on esnips, beemp3 or youtube to rip off illegal music.
I'm almost positive you can only put songs onto the iPod from your library. There is software to "rip" the music from your iPod to a computer. It costs $ but works, you have a backup now of the music on the iPod.
You can rip music from your iPod to your computer, then to Windows Movie Maker. But, you can't rip it directly from the iPod unless the removable device files can be located through the browse feature.In other words, it's probably easier to copy the iPod audio to your computer before importing. But, if you are able to locate the device, copy the files from it directly and find it faster, go for it.:)

you can't, but there is this program called iPod rip. but i doubt it works with the new firmwares apple uses on their iPods.
