The 1995 Cadillac Eldorado drivers side door panel is held in place by eight retaining clips. Pry outward on each retaining clip. The door panel will come off. Remove the linkage from the power window motor. Remove the wiring harness from the power window motor. Remove the retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new power window motor.
could be the motor mounts as to it jerking if its not the tranny..
check fuses?
check to see if the window switch of the driver's side is getting power, if you are getting power to the switch and the switch is sending power out to the motor but the motor is not responding the motor needs to be replaced
Sounds like it is your window motor drive box. I have had to repair three in my 95 Maxima. There is no longer a good bond between your rubber isloation wheel and the output drive. This is the part behind the round aluminum cover adjacent to your electric window drive motor.
Possibly the window motor burnt out. Try not to mess with it happened to me and window broke and i had to pay a lot more.

Yes
window motor
You don't let some else do it. I say this from experience on a 2004 The motor is separate I used the old motor and replaced the regulator. I had to drill out rivets OH ya I BROKE the window drilling out the rivets that hold the window onto the regulator. after that I reattached the motor assembly with bolts and nylon lock nuts. then went to a glass shop to have the window replaced.
Take out the motor and check the 3 nylon bushings that are inside the drive gear.after removing the 3 bolts that hold the power window motor to the widow bracket, remove the motor from the door and there is a small Philips screw below the drive gear.remove this and take off the cover.now remove the drive gear,it just lifts out.you should see 3 nylon bushings.if you see bits and pieces you'll need new bushings.
