The program that came with your video card drivers might have a feature in it somewhere for rotating the desktop. Not all of these programs have this feature though.
To change your desktop orientation from sideways to upright, you can right-click on an empty area of your desktop, select "Display settings," then under "Orientation," choose "Landscape" or "0 degrees." This should rotate your desktop back to the standard orientation.

To rotate an application view on most devices, you typically need to change the orientation settings. On mobile devices, you can enable or disable screen rotation in the settings or through the quick settings menu. For desktop applications, you may use keyboard shortcuts (like Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys on Windows) or adjust the display settings in the control panel. Additionally, some applications may have built-in options to rotate the view within their settings.
The Desktop image can be changed in from Desktop tab in the Desktop & ScreenSaver section of System Preferences. You can jump directly to this by right clicking on the Desktop and selecting Change Desktop Background.... from the menu that appears.
