Head gas kit is a seal which seals the compression your engine make. you just remove the head and remove the gas kit and do use any metal as it will ruin your engine.Replace it with you new gas kit.
YES, the Honda engine is considered an interference engine, which means that the valves will come in contact with the piston if the belt breaks. under rare circumstances if the car is idiling i have seen the belt break and not hurt the valves. hope this helps It is very likely, if you have broken your timing belt. IF you notice it right away and bring the car to a complete stop immediately-- include turning off the engine--you may escape engine damage. This is not a guarantee though.
Honda Automatic transmissions use an internal filter that is designed for the life of the transmission. It is extremely rare that one would have to be changed. Also do not do a power flush on a Honda transmission as it will ruin the internal seals.

what is the dollar value over to ruin E 08 Honda Accord in good shapeaccording to Kelley Blue Book

The thermostat for a 1993 Honda Civic EX is where the BOTTOM radiator hose connects to the engine block. There are two different thermostats available depending on the engine size. One is offset so make sure you get the right one. The normal one will not open in the offset space. Be sure to line up the rubber tab on the gasket with its cutout in the thermostat housing or it will leak and ruin gasket. The only tools you should need are 10mm wrench, pliers to compress the hose clamp, and maybe a screwdriver to help loosen the connection for the temp gauge sending attachment. Its an easy fix.
You shouldn't be asking this question. If you are unsure if you have too much oil, drain it and add only 4 quarts. Running too much oil in a motor can ruin it.
