Fallow the wire harness that runs to the fire wall if there is no room you can drill a hole in the middle of the firewall on side that the battery is located if you are mounting the amp in the trunk you can always make a ground location in the trunk best to use a power cable that has a fusible link as a precaution. Then in side the car i found it best to run it under the trim or carpet to avoid being moved around or pulled on from people getting in and out. Then run your Remote Ground right down the middle of the car placing it under the carpet then under back seat hiding it from harm as well. A little tip though i run a toggle switch on the remote ground to avoid any problems with a short in a wire a shorted wire can cause the amp to stay on and pull power from the battery draining it. The toggle switch does get annoying but it will brake the circuit so this does not happen. That and I know of two persons cars that have caught on fire from a shorted wire your call on the toggle switch.

How do you hook up a sub-woofer and amp in a 2004 Mazda 3?

if you are keeping the stock stereo you have to get a rca converter(converts speaker wires to rca) and hook them up to the rear speakers. then run rca's to the amp, then run your power wire, ground, then the remote wire you will have to tap into the fuse box and find the radio fuse that turns off with your key, once you find that just tap into it and run the wire back to the amp.

What is the best way to install the wiring for an amplifier in a 1988 Ford Taurus?

take a red power wire run it from the positive side of the battery to the amp. Take a yellow wire run it from the amp to the fuse panel and tie it in to the radio fuse. Then run your jacks from the radio to the amp and speaker wires from radio to amp.

How do you install an amp to 95 riviera?

Run your power, ground, and remote wires. Then connect your RCAs to the back of your CD player and your amp, then connect your speakers to the amp..-ShockerI don't think the factory stereo has rca plugs in the back. You can run wires off the rear speaker wires of the stereo and wire those to rca plugs which you hook to the amp. Then you will have the rears running to the amp (for sub install). If you planned on using a 4-channel amp for all of your speakers, you could run rca's from the front channel wires and from the rear channel wires. Since they're going to an amp it won't effect the ohm rating going to the stereo.I had to do this in my Fiero when I had an older CD-player that didn't have RCA plugs. A new stereo with sub outs and front and rear outs created much better sound.

How do you run an amplifier off a normal car radio?

Normal car radio is no different than aftermarket. Determine the output wires on the radio, take them into the amp and the output from the amp back to the wires going to the speakers. Normal car speakers are not going to take the output of the amp if you raise it much.

How do you by pass an amp in a 94 pathfinder?

You must run speaker wires directly to speakers from the head unit, tedious but hey what are you gonna do? No need to bypass hook "amp turn on" blue and white wire to ignition or power wire, worked for me. NO You don,t need to run new wires, you have to trace them down,,, not that diffulcult , Take out the amp, and connect the input and out put wires, don,t hook-up the red with white stripe, this is the 12 volt power to the amp. I have a very simple diagram for this,.

How do you hook an amp into a stock CD player?

You don't hook it into the stock CD player, you re-run the speakers wires from the radio to one central location, hook up the amp, rerun the speaker wires from the amp to the speakers. BUT, most stock speakers are cheaply made with cardboard, so I would recommend upgrading your speakers as well or chances are you will separate the cone if it's amped past stock. You have to get a "aloc"adjustable line out converter to run rca cables to your amp then run the speaker wires to your sub the aloc taps into your existing speaker wire and reduces the db.rca's are a low db input you need .5 to 5 db to hit rca input at the amp which is what the aloc does.

Can you run one amp through another amp and play through them both?

Absolutely positively Maybe! You would need to have a line out on the first amp that is compatible with the line in on the second amp. Lets assume you are talking about guitars and guitar amps. A headphone out would probably work fine as a inbound signal for a second amp. But if you really want to do this right young Stevie Ray, get an AB box. They are cheapo and will help you with a lot better sound. Buy a box that allows you to plug your guitar into one input and have two outputs. Commonly known as an A B box, meaning that you can run the guitar signal to amp A or step on a switch and run it to Amp B. Amp A is set to your normal rhythm guitar settings, and amp B is set to melt their faces when you do a solo. BUT- for this question be sure and get a box that allows you to route the signal to both amps at the same time. Why use a box? Because if you run the amps in series like you are asking, any tone coloration, distortion, etc on Amp A will also color the tone from Amp B. You will be much better off being able to set the tones, colors, distortion, compression etc. on the separate individual amps. You will sound better, and get a lot more options rather than running one amp into the other. And if not too confusing already, you can Mic amp A and run the Mic into Amp B if you still wanted to do that.

Can you hook up an amp and sub woofer to a stock radio?

Yes, this is very possible. Just disconnect your battery & run the power with an inline fuse from your battery to your amp. Hook up the ground as close to your amp as possible. Now you need to run your remote wire. You can run a wire from your battery with a 10/15amp inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. Then to a toggle switch inside the vehicle & then onto the rem hookup on the amp. Or, you can try splicing into your radio wiring (usually blue & white) & run a lead going to the rem hookup on the amp. Now, after all of that, you will need to splice into you REAR speaker wires- no rca here. Run the spliced off pos & neg wires into you amp & then setup your crossover & blend out as much high frequency as possible. You should be good to go.
