The Catiav6 is not "file based" like the v5 is. These files are managed by the PDM system. With the v6 there is no file + save File+ open. It would be best to obtain V6 documentation to porperly execute this task.

When you work with open document which already have been saved, you can press Save and this will save changes without Save As dialog in Explorer, any time you press Save As will open Save As dialog in Explorer.
Usually there is no need to convert, since Open Office can read excel files (except Open Office probably will have problems with macros). If you have Excel 2007, then save the file in Office 2003 compatibility mode.

You can double click on image in Bridge and it will open in camera raw plugin,there you can work with picture or just save it in other format,press open image and it will open in Photoshop then go to save,save as or save for web and device and save in format you want , or you can open .jpg image in camera raw,right click on image and choose Open in Camera Raw

To open a file first you go up to File. Then you go down and click on open. Next you double click on the file you want and !!!ta-da!!! there's the thing you want. Now to save a piece of work you go up to File and click on save. Then you save it into whatever place you want to save it in. After that you hit the enter button or click save down the bottom.
