Apart from batteries, electricity cannot be saved or stored in that sense.

The conversion and re-conversion needed to use battery storage, is inefficient and looses energy. batteries are used purely for portabilty or convenience.

Energy required for the generation of electricity can be stored and saved.

The water behind the dam, is ready to supply hydro electricity, when required.

Pressurised gas and hydraulics can also be used to store energy, short term, for electricity generation.

Overall, the term 'saving electricity' generally means, 'use less of it'.
