When you first start the game Local Storage will ask if they can save up 10 kilobytes on you computer which is a very small amount. You need to let them have those 10 KB on your computer because it outo saves your progress on your own hardrive.
You have to buy the "use old save" extra on Lego Star Wars: 2.
You must have the first Lego Star Wars or else this doesn't work. Once you have unlocked all the people in the first Lego Star Wars this extra is available. This will allow you to play as the people from the first Lego Star Wars in Lego Star Wars II.
Grievous isn't in LSWII, only the first one as a boss for Episode III. But, if you have a Lego Star Wars 1 save file with Grievous unlocked, you can go into Lego Star Wars 2 and buy the cheat "Use old Save", which lets you take all your old characters from Lego Star Wars 1 and play as them in Star Wars 2.

Game saves automatically when a mission is completed. This is symbolised by a darthvader head appearing at the centre of your screen.
Impossible there are no accounts there are save slots. (MB)
