How do you say 'thank you' in Chinese?

'Thank you' in Mandarin is 謝謝 or xie xie in pinyin (pronounced 'sheh sheh').

"Xie xie", that is 4th tone and neutral, for "thanks", or xie xie ni (4th, neutral and 3rd) for "thank you"

You would say 谢谢 which, in Pin Yin (Chinese using the English alphabet) is xièxie.

There are several Chinese dialects and within each one there are multiple ways to say thank you. Here is a chart six major dialects:
Cantonese

多謝 (dòjeh) - for a gift

唔該 (m̀hgòi) - for a service

唔駛 (m̀hsái)

唔駛客氣 (m̀hsái haakhei)

Hakka
