That depends on what you mean by love. If you mean passionate feelings towards someone, the "in love" feeling, then yes: those feelings can fade away. But if you mean deeply caring about someone's welfare, and wanting to do what's best for them, and sacrificing for them- that kind of love only dies by your own choice.
