I imagine there are slang words to say "afterlife", but I would say it vida futura, which is a simple translation.
I don't know that I agree with the original answers given of 'otra vida' or 'de ultratumba', because to me those translate to "other life" and "falling down". I am leaving them on here because I do not speak spanish fluently, and they may be a slang that I do not recognize.
* I'll give it a shot: "afterlife in Spanish". there, that was pretty easy.

Life after death -> vida despuez de la muerte
----------
"Vida futura" is "future life"; "otra vida" is another life. "La vida de ultratumba" is literary and can be found in "El burlador de Sevilla" referring to the afterlife, among other stories. "Vida despúes de la muerte" is a literal translation."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
life after death would be in a nice transaltion vida después de la muerte
what we say on the streets is la otro vida, ultratumba is what you say when you're talking about creepy dead, ghosts and such
Nos vemos en la otra vida : We'll see each other in the afterlife
Hay vida después de la muerte : Is there life after death
No me gustan los cuentos de la ultratumba : I don't like ghost stories
