"Grande" and "grosse" are both adjectives meaning the word "big" and the both of them can be used in this sentence.
If you're talking to a friend/family member/random person about the storm, you can use whichever you want.
However, I wouldn't use "grosse" in a more formal context, since using this adjective in this sentence in this case is less formal then "grande".
