It should be something along the lines of magasin de vetements which is clothes shopping.
faire du shopping pour vêtements.
You can say "faire du shopping" if you buy clothes, make up, shoes etc ... And "faire les courses" if you buy food or domestic products. French people usually use "shopping" to talk about a leisure, and "courses" to talk about an obligation (obligation of buying food, etc ...)

It depends weather it is clothes shopping or food shopping but if it was food shopping i would say ice skating but the skates always hurt my feet. lol

Well if you love shopping and you have to write an essay on your hobby, then choose shopping. You can say that you love the work on clothes most of the time and write when you first got interested in clothes! :)
