"Sri Lankan" is not a language. The most common language in Sri Lanka is Sinhalese. The word "hello" is a common loan word in Sinhalese, although other greetings, such as a`yubowan (long live) might be more traditional.
normally don't have a direct meaning to "hello". In modern world, specially in Colombo, people are greeting also with hello or Hi think it's after the colonisation. in villages normally people ask "kohomada?" = how?/how are you?
but we have a literal greeting word, wich airhostres use in Srilankan airlines and in official moments and in school teachers to students and students to teachers it's "Ayubowan!"= you should live more!
