Me and my bff googled the word and it is the same. So nevermind is nevermind in both English and German.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It won't be so, I am afraid:)
It is just when Google doesn't know the word to translate it gives you the same word you asked in answer field....

However, the closest word to "Nevermind" or "Whatever" (if that is the meaning you were going for) would be: EGAL! (e.g. -Ich kann nich mit dir morgen zu GrossMutter gehen! - Ah, egal!) - although, the exact meaning of that word would be "all the same" . kind of "nevermind, it's all same to me, no difference, whatsoever"

You can also say "Schon gut!", "Macht nichts!" or "Vergiss es!"

"Schon gut" and "Macht nichts" are towards "it`s ok",

"Vergiss es" means "forget it".

Even in English language this phrase is written as two words phrase: "Never mind"

Exact translation of word "NEVER" would be "NIE".

and of word MIND (in this verb context - that goes forward meaning of word "care") would be "SORGEN".

Although, if you used those two words together in German - "Nie Sorgen!" - they wouldn't hold the meaning of "Never mind" - but those phrases, written in the beginning part of this answer (Schon gut!,Macht nichts!, Vergisses!, or Egal! would be Phrases, much closer to the one you were looking for..

You can try to google it again - but with right spelling - NEVER MIND (2 words) instead of NEVERMIND and you should get the result...
