If you are trying to say sorry as in "excuse me" or "I did not mean that," you use "E kala mai" or " Kala mai ia'u." I'm sorry for you is more like "Kaumaha au nou." ANSWER

I'd definitely stick with "kala mai" or "kala mai ia'u", not "kaumaha au nou". That part, the last phrase, doesn't make sense and it's a literal translation trying to say that you have pity for someone else almost.

HÕLINA! is the word when you cry for help. There are several other words which mean help such as kokua, (line over the o) which can also mean helper. Another, to help or to lend a hand is, lawelawe lima.
