The word 'tantig' is not exactly an Armenian word.It comes from the French word 'tante' which means 'auntie'.Armenians specially middle eastern Armenians have added by time and spelling ''ig'' to the French word and turned ''tante'' into ''tantig'' you say ''tanting'' while you're addressing to an older women .Same story about the French word ''mezre'' (measuring tape) which is turned into ''mezro''.hope this helped!
depends on your dialect: if you're eastern Armenian, you would say "aghper." if you're western Armenian (most likely diasporan Armenian), you would say "yeghpayr." The above is wrong. In Eastern Armenian the proper way to say brother is եղբայր (yeghbayr) (the 'gh' in this word is pronounced like when you huck a loogie). In Western Armenian the b in yeghbayr is pronounced with a p...that's the only difference. The word ախպեր (Aghper) is a slang word, much like saying "bro" in English... my family is diaspora and we pronounce the word for brother as Yeghpayr
In proper Armenian, it is "օղի" pronounced "oghee" with the 'gh' pronounced like a French 'r' (from the throat). Colloquially they say "արաղ" pronounced "aragh". Same 'gh' rule applies.
"հայր" pronounced like the English word "hire".
"հայր" pronounced like the English word "hire".
