To appreciate someone you respect who they are. You respect the things you do & you're thankful for them.
just say "i thank for giving me an opportunity to do this ,it it was a pleasure."
You can respond with a simple "Thank you for your sympathy" or "I appreciate your concern."
"Appreciate" in Tagalog is "pahalagahan."

You say, that is for people who really dont understand or appreciate what they have. Because whether my grass is greener or not at least I have some. :)
Do something nice for him/her (let's just say him) and if he doesn't appreciate it by expressing any sort of thanks, say you would like more appreciation and if he doesn't agree, it's over. Say you had a good time and wrap it up with saying "Lets be friends"
if he says it like he's disgusted, then u should break up with him & find someone who appreciate ur curves
