either you were "fired" or "laid off"
You can say "I was let go from my job" or "I was terminated from my position."
There are a number of things you could say to describe your current position in a job interview. You could say you are not employed for example.

I usually say that I sought a position that was more challenging.
Say your name and the things you like about the job then explain yourself, & the position you want in your job
You say you left for a new challenge, or career advancement. If it asks specifically why, you can say, position eliminated.
i wouldn't say its illegal but its unethical how how are you gonna say what job is up for position when you have nothing to do with that area.
You could say you were selected for the position.
you say thanks for all you have done and move on
If you are honestly asking us to fill out a job application for you, then you are not fit for a position in a bank. Maybe not even McDonald's.
If you're looking for "Currently holds this position" Doesn't work!! Linkedin say's it does, but it doesn't!
