You can wet it and scrunch it, except for that you would have to let it dry. Or, you can twist it and do it that way. If you don't want a twisty look you'd have to do it the wet way.
I have the same problem but what i do is put it in a bun at night then take it out in the morning then use some kind of curling spray and damp my hair, dry it then i put mousse in it and scrunch it in my hair.
You have to use a very strong gel in wet hair then let it dry in a bun or scrunch and blow dry it at the same time but before blow drying put hair spray on and the do the drying and it will last through out the night
you get hair gel and have wet hair and take some gel OR mouse and squeeze and curl! after your done you blow dry or let it dry natural.
You need to "scrunch" it while drying it. Scrunching it is to make gentle "squeezing" motions all throughout your hair, but do not comb or brush it. After shampooing, but before drying your hair, apply the mousse (the amount depends on the length and thickness of your hair) evenly throughout your hair. Then while bending over at the waist (so your hair is hanging upside down), scrunch your hair and blow dry using a diffuser on the dryer. When your hair is almost completely dry, stand upright and spray with hair spray, then bend over at the waist and spray the underside of your hair. Scrunch a bit more, then blow dry (with diffuser still attached to dryer) while scrunching. When hair is dry, stand upright and fluff with fingers. But do NOT comb or brush. Apply more hair spray if needed.

You can either have your hair dry or wet when scrunching your hair. Rub your hair with a towel as if you were drying it. Then apply Moose, or Gel and curl hair into shape. Most people purfure to scrunch hair when wet.
I put mousse in my hair and make sure its wet and squeeze scrunch at the same time.
I am black, but I have relaxed hair so I am able to easily achieve the scrunch look. I wash and condition my hair with Garnier Strength and Repair system. Then I blot my hair with a towel until and wrap it for a few minutes to get the excess water off. I finger comb my hair to get the little tangles out and then I add a handful of Moisturizer Creme to keep it from looking dried out. I scrunch that in it first. Then i put a little Jojoba Oil in my palm and scrunch that in there also. The last product I use is Garnier Scrunch Gel. I put a good amount in my hand and rub them together and scrunch it all over my head this time holding it for a few moments with one hand while the other has the blow dryer over the hand doicngthe scrunching. Don't blow dry fully..Let it air dry for best results.
Firsty, you should let your hair dry in a towel for ten minutes. Then brush your hair until all tangles are out. Take a small amount of mousse and work it through your hair. Flip hair over and scrunch and then let your hair dry for five minutes. Flip your hair and blow dry, then flip you hair back and blow dry until complete.
I have straight hair and even after I take a shower and I scrunch my hair.... I doesn't always turn out to be curly!! But I guess that's just my hair. Actually, that often works quite well. You could also try putting a little curling pomade in the hair before you scrunch it.

Get your hair wet and then towel dry it until it is just damp. Then put the gel in it and scrunch it and then put it into a messy bun using a lot of hair rubberbands on top of your head and sleep on it! very easy
