Its simple! all you do is go "star" (at the bottom of the screen) and go search. you then type in the name of your missing document and click search. Your peice of work should atomatically appear!
Use the search facility within Windows and be as specific as you can about details you have like the name, the date of the file, the file type, the possible location. Another way is on the Open dialog within Excel. When you go to open a file in the normal way, just pick Tools and the Search option.
Use the find option. The quickest way is to press and hold the Ctrl key and then press F. Then you can type in the word you are searching for and find it.
Find-and-replace.
If you have saved the word document, after amendments, then no you will not be able to find it again. As word will only save the new text. If you have not saved it, or used the save as function you should still be able to find it.
While in the document, simultaneously press CTRL and "F". It will pop up a find window. Type the word you want to find, and the system will look through the entire document for matches.
There are many ways to find a synonym for a word you are already using. In the document right-click the word and click on the thesaurus option.
It will be in the title bar and also in the Properties.
Every word processing program has a "search Document" feature. Plug in the word or phrase you are looking for, and it will find it immediately.
On your computer, click start and go to my documents, there you will find all the documents you have previously saved on that particular computer. if you do not have word downloaded on your computer the word document will not open.
