How do you control ghosts in the Sims 3?

Make a ghost move to your lot -( make your female sim Kleptomaniac and go to the graveyard and swipe a male grave by clicking somewhere near a grave) then every 2 days on the Sims the ghost will come out between 11pm and 4 am. Every night socialize with ghost until it says romantic interest, then there should be an option.

If you have The Sims 3 Ambitions, you can go to the Science Center and get a job in the Ghost Hunter Profession. Next, you wait for a job to come. (Or if you want, type in the "Testingcheatsenabled true" cheat, shift click on a random house to spawn a job) Then just go fulfill the job (click on the ghosts to capture them) and the ghost will appear in your inventory. :)

Well, you have to use a cheat. Go to www.Google.com & look up your question. Then click on any website & follow those instructions.

you should get to know the ghost you want to resurrect like have it be your best friend or boyfriend/girlfriend and just wait i don't know if this works but my wife in the game was level nine at the science lab and my friend and i got the opportunity of "Oh My Ghost!" and click the check and give the tombstone/urn to the person with the opportunity and go to the science lab and then you will be able to have the playable ghost, thank you

Well you cant kill it. You can get rid of it by sending it back to the netherworld which is by clinking on their tombstone which is in the Ghost's personal inventory

You have to go to the graveyard late at night. You can then see and interact with deceased sims.
