Without germinating the seed it is fairly difficult to see if the seed is alive. One method is x-rays, expensive and not very practical.
The second method is easy, but not 100% reliable; this is to put the seeds into water. If the seed sinks then it still contains an embryo and is viable, normally if the embryo is dead, it will dry up leaving a cavity within the seed - in which case the seed floats.
There are obviously exceptions such as water dispersed seeds - like the coconut which are "designed" to float
A flower seed is alive. It contains an embryo plant which uses the endosperm in the seed for nourishment until it is planted and starts to grow.
A lotus flower. A lotus must die in the ground to become a flower again. So it will live when it dies. Even if the flower is alive, it must die in order for a seed to be produced. Therefore, it must die to live. The thing that lives when it's dead, and dead when it's alive is.. lotus.
The color of the seed is random, meaning you can not get a specific color. When the seed grows into a flower, if it is not the color you need, you will have to dig the plant up and plant another seed. Wait to see if that seed grows into the color of flower you need. Repeat until you get the color of flower you need.
First to plant any seed! then come back SUPREMELY quick and you might see a baby rox flower
A seed flower is called an ovule
Yes and no!, the coleus flower in my opinion is a great looking flower, but many people dont like its appearance, the flower should be removed if you want to keep the plant alive longer, as when it flowers it will also produce seed, once the seed is produced, the plant will deterioate and die off, great if you want to collect the seed but not if you want the plant to survive.
it depends on the flower
never heard of it being called "Flower of the Seed" but as for "Flower of the Sea" it is because it resembles a flower.
A seed is typically found within the fruit or seed pod of a flower. After the flower is pollinated and fertilized, the ovules within the ovary develop into seeds. The seed is often located at the center or within the swollen ovary of the flower.
You can start to see the beginning of the growth.
