on smaller stuff its usually 10ma since that is not usually fatal
default for most gfci
on larger stuff if its not connected with RMC even if you pull a ground wire be very careful
pre made cable BX (MC now) comes in large sizes ive used 2/0
the ground is #6 if there isn't a driven ground on the machine the fault could be carried in the little helix of galvanized wrapped around the cable.
now gee ill just put on an ohmmeter and make sure it wont get red hot
remember the word helix. the dc resistance doesnt change no matter what shape the wire is.
so use an LCR bridge not an ohmmeter
a caution sometimes these use 1000hz as a default
sealtite liqitite greenfeild all have this quirk
some have copper with the galvanize steel but the only thing that changes the inductance is the # of turns (well diameter too)
tray cable does not it seems to be always braided but im not positive
some hi voltage cable has the drain wires in a helix and the runs are usually longer .. on the plus side most bigger stuff has any parameter you could name settable in the breaker.
I did once learn the hard way that the suction hose on a 3" water pump is made with the same helix so it wont be pumped flat
takes about 3 amps at 277V
vom says 12 ohms perhaps its stainless wire
pumps merrily away and the hose steams a bit
perhaps the hose is a better ground than the plate at the bottom of the wood pole
plant has 480 277Y pole looked like one leg grounded delta
takes a bit of thought
we call them ground fault breakers 10 milliamps thru you instead of the normal current path can kill you if you have a neon test lamp connect it to one of the hot leads and earth the other. if it lights the earth leak detector is faulty. if it opens the breaker its good most here in the usa have a test button
it takes the lowest resistance path back to the current source Answer: Earth leakage current flows down to earth through the consumer earth continuity conductor.
An Earth Relay Circuit Brearker(ERCB is a circuit breaker that senses an earth leak within the system and responds by cutting the power to the appliance or section or giving an alarm pending on the complexity of the system. Most of them can be set to a certain sensitivity, for homes it will be normally 30 mA fixed earth leakage current with an instantanous cut out. For industrial and commercial application the setting can vary pending on the protection needed.
Earth leakage miniature circuit breaker (mcb+ecb=rcbo) rcbo is called elcmb
Under the View menu click Explore then select from among Earth, Sky, Moon, and Mars. You can select the planet icon from the toolbar to do the same.
Earth leakage relays are instantaneous tripping relays where as earth fault relays have the option of time and ampere setting i.e. for a setted ampere the circuit breaker will be tripped off after the setted time (in second).
The best way to stop earth leakage is to make sure that the are no active circuits going to ground. This will help keep the circuit running right.
Yes, a loose neutral wire can effect the operation of Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker.
ELDB is Earth Leakage distribution board it is used for earth fault.
What is the definition of earthing and how it works?
The function of cable select jumper setting is to let the cable select which drive takes priority ("master") and which one comes after ("slave").
If you want the iTunes equalizer's controls reset to a central position select Flat from the menu. If you have a favourite setting you wish to reset to select Make Preset from the menu and give your setting a name. You can then select your saved setting from the menu.

Leakage can happen due to low joint articulation. Select ball joint articulation of 50 degree all around. Leakage may happen in the absence of clamping for rubber boot. Select ball joint rubber boot with positive clamping arrangement.
Ground / earth protection will not impact cable sizing.
