get an elastic band and 'twang' the elastic band against your arm when you want to self harm.
however this was something that was suggested to me to stop me from properly injuring myself when self harming, if you're not receiving professional help I would urge you to seek it out.
there are other ways to relieve stress even if they may not be obvious or work all the time.
