Put the mixture in water and stir.

Salt is easily dissolved.

After filtering salt remain in solution.

The dried mixture of pepper and sand can be separated manually, by sieving or exploiting the difference of densities on floating.

How do you separate iron fillings salt sugar and pepper?

You use a magnet, the magnet will remove the iron filings.hi hi,what you can do is that, get a strong magnet and place it above the mixture. The iron fillings will be attracted to the magnet since it is a magnetic material. In the end you'll be left with salt only (:

How do you separate the mixture of sand salt and iron filings?

Remove the iron filings using a magnet (set aside)Mix the salt and sand with waterRun the mixture through a filter paper, leaving the sand (set aside)Boil the water until it evaporates, turns into a gas and runs through tubes to a separate chamber *remove the sand (set aside)remove the water (set aside)ALL DONE !(:*distillation-look up model
