Hi my 2005 chevy cavalier is idleing just a little bit high for example (80km) the RPMS a are (2200) how can i adjust it myself?
No a timing chain..
You can not set the igitniton timing yourself. You can check it but not set it.The timing is ran off a crankshaft sensor.Idle timing is 27 degrees
60000 miles
how to set ttr125 timing
the water pump is located next to the throttle body. there is no reason to set the timing.
Engine timing is computer controlled and is not adjustable.
You dont! The timing is fixed and is driven off of a crank sensor on the back of the engine. All timing adjustments are computer controlled.
Yes every car has a timing belt or chain. The 2003 Cavalier has a timing belt
If you look up the replacement parts for repair for the 2004 2.2 you will see the complete timing chain set. So, to answer the question it is a timing chain.
Cavalier
It must be a timing chain because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) does not list a timing belt for the 2004 Chevy Cavalier
2005 Cavaliers have a timing chain. All Ecotec motors do, which would include all Cavaliers from 2003-2005, any Cavaliers from 2000-2002 that had the Ecotec option, as well as many other GM models.
