you go into the setting tab press wallpaper and then click on the picture of the home screen and choose a photo. you can also go into the inbuilt pictures app and then click a picture, then click the box with the arrow coming out if it and set it as a wallpaper
A PassCode can be set in the General section of the Settings on the Home Screen.
iPod Touch: press Settings on the Home Screen>General>Date & Time>Set Date & Time. iPod Nano (scroll wheel): Settings>Time & Date...
If you have an iPod Touch 2G, then you can't get a home screen wallpaper unless you jailbreak it. You won't be able to multitask either. Apple decided to disable some of the features for the older ipods for god only knows why. But if you have the newest ipod touch, just go to your photos and hit "set as wallpaper" like normal but then it will ask you to "Set as Lockscreen", "Set as Homescreen", or "Set as both".
you go to settings and click general go to wallpapers and tap on the square that shows the home screen and the lock screen. A bunch of pictures will pop up and click on the one you want and click set as home screen. :)
You can set the sensativity of the screen but it is fairly sensitive to touches.
Set a wallpaper by going to settings>wallpaper Choose a pre-installed wallpaper or choose one from your photo library. On 4th gen, you can also set a separate wallpaper for the home screen. When you jailbreak your iPod touch, you can download winterboard themes to also change icons, battery icons, the dock, the lock screen, and much more.
you mean when you open your ipod and write your password oh you just go to pictures and you'll see in the right a small screen pointing on it an arrow just click it and chose "set as background" there you go you did it . :)

You get this app called backrounds and then you go in to it and pick a couple and save them. Once you've done that go into photos and on the bottom left corner of the screen it will have a little arrow press on that then go use as wallpaper set set home screen
it seems as tho only 3g ipod touch/ iphone 3gs only gets wallpapers. when you updated there should of been a default backgroud. other than that go to settings>wallpaper>set wallpaper and you will have the option to set home screen, lockscreen, or both
there's a button at the top and push it, then the screen should turn black and it's set on rest.!
Can't be done. You can jailbreak it (Not sure how with a iPod Touch 2G) then install activator with a action and set it to Screen Shot. That's your only option because apple doesn't allow you to change that.
